On the plus side, the lifeguards at the pool were definitely more stringent than they used to be - not at limiting enjoyment but at cracking down on dangerous/inappropriate behaviour in the pool. This only happened to me twice and I wasn't carrying any contraband (or so they thought) but it was frustrating all the same. My one criticism from this visit is the newly instituted occasional checking of bags for food and drinks on entry to the pool. And the aircon is a godsend! I can't comment on the Eurocamp bungalows but they or the area they're in certainly don't look as nice as the rest. There's any number of places to eat and drink, the supermarket is well-stocked and reasonably priced, and the evening entertainment is really high quality (for a camp site).Īll of the "bungalows" are nice and modern in well kept surroundings and have a small kids' pool within metres. Some new slides just opened at the start of August too. We thought it was brilliant here anyway but the addition of the 3(!) new pools since our last visit really tops it off. The money they've spent here in the last few years almost beggars belief. Leer más Our third time at El Delfin Verde and it improves every time. Our third time at El Delfin Verde and it improves every time. In conclusion we loved it and will be back! Leer menos The animators work very hard and seem to genuinely want to be there, always smiling and trying to get the children involved. Our children loved many of the shows including Frozen and the Little Mermaid, as well as the mini-disco and the mini-disco in the pool area. Noise was not an issue either, apart from on one evening during the Octoberfest entertainment by the pool which we could hear until late. Yes this is a big site, and if we came again we would drive and bring scooters for the children as there are lots of flat paths throughout the accommodation, but we didn't feel that this was an issue. The facilities here are second to none, we all loved the water park area with a multitude of slides, we never had an issue getting sun loungers here, and again we felt it was done to a really high standard outdoor hottubs etc.

Our children chose to sleep upstairs as they found it amazing that a tent had an upstairs. We felt that the accommodation was spacious, although advertised as a two bed it actually had three bedrooms, a main bedroom and bunk bed downstairs and a loft mezzanine floor with two beds. The glamping lodge was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed the touches of luxury that made our stay special, we loved the rainfall shower, fluffy white towels, nespresso coffee maker, dishwasher and high quality garden furniture provided. We also enjoyed hiring bikes and the really well marked out paths that lead through the rice fields surrounding the campsite. We enjoyed being slightly away from the main town and felt that the campsite was really well set up for self catering, we enjoyed the takeaway rotisserie chickens and high quality pizzas. This was a theme of the holiday, at no point did we feel the campsite was cashing in on it's isolated position, the restaurants and campsite supermarket were all fairly priced and we loved the fresh bread and croissants. We stopped at a bar next to the beach within the campsite and enjoyed ice-creams and beers, again we were really impressed 1.50euro for a large beer. Access to the lovely long sandy beach is right next to the glamping area, the beach is next to a nature reserve area and there were no issues with space even in August. Our children particularly enjoyed the splash park, which is themed with several jungle animals standing guard. We headed to look around the glamping area and were immediately impressed, the glamping lodges are set in a beautifully landscaped and garden area and there are several small pools and a splash park dotted around. The campsite made a great impression right from the off, speedy check in and reception friendly. Having stayed at another campsite on the Costa Brava the week before, we would rate El Delfin Verde as truly 5 star for it's facilities and the whole glamping experience.
